Short Itinerary

Departure from Lima

• Pickup from your designated location in Lima and private transfer south toward Paracas.

Ballestas Islands

• 1.5-hour boat tour through the Paracas National Reserve.
• Observe abundant marine wildlife including sea lions, Humboldt penguins, pelicans, and dramatic coastal rock formations.

Paracas Sweets Tasting

• Sample traditional local treats: chocotejas (chocolate-covered wafers), tejas (almond candies), cookies, and other regional sweets.

Ica Winery Visit

• Arrival at a traditional vineyard (fundo) in Ica for a guided wine and pisco tasting.
• Enjoy regional wines, piscos, and fruit creams accompanied by poetry readings.
• Free time for photos, lunch (on your own), and shopping for local products.

Huacachina Oasis

• Visit the enchanting desert oasis of Huacachina, a lagoon surrounded by towering sand dunes and local legends of mermaids.
• Dune Buggy Ride (“Tubulares”): Approximately 45 minutes of thrilling off-road adventure across the dunes.
• Sandboarding: Slide down the sandy slopes on a board (availability may vary by operator).

Return to Lima

• Departure from Huacachina around 16:15.
• Approximate arrival in Lima at 22:00 with transfer back to your original pickup point.

Itinerary

Early Morning Departure from Lima

Pick-up from your designated location in Lima in the early morning hours. Begin a comfortable private transfer south along the Pan-American Highway toward Paracas, enjoying coastal and desert landscapes along the way.

Ballestas Islands Excursion

Upon arrival in Paracas, we will head to the pier to begin a 1.5-hour boat tour to the Ballestas Islands, located within the Paracas National Reserve. During this scenic navigation, you will observe impressive coastal formations and abundant marine wildlife, including:

• Sea lions
• Humboldt penguins
• Pelicans and seabirds
• Natural rock formations shaped by the Pacific Ocean

This experience offers a close look at one of Peru’s most important marine ecosystems.

Traditional Paracas Sweets Tasting

After the boat tour, enjoy a tasting of traditional local sweets, including:

• Chocotejas (chocolate-covered wafers filled with caramel or fruit)
• Tejas (almond-based candies)
• Cookies and other regional desserts

A delightful way to experience the local flavors of the Paracas region.

Ica Winery Experience

Continue the journey inland toward Ica, arriving at a traditional vineyard (fundo). Enjoy a guided wine and pisco tasting, where you will sample:

Huacachina Oasis & Desert Adventure

Next, visit the iconic Huacachina Oasis, a natural lagoon surrounded by towering sand dunes and wrapped in legends of mermaids and desert spirits.

Dune Buggy & Sandboarding Experience:

• Approximately 45 minutes of thrilling off-road dune buggy riding
• Opportunity to try sandboarding down the dunes (activity subject to operator conditions)

This is one of the most exciting desert adventures in southern Peru.

Return to Lima

• 16:15 (approx.) – Departure from Huacachina
• 22:00 (approx.) – Arrival in Lima
• Transfer back to your original pick-up point
